Down To Earth are established designer makers of contemporary metalwork and produce distinctive metalwork for interior and exterior environments.

We specialise in contemporary artistic metalwork that combines steel with stained glass, blown glass, fused glass,stone and wood to make unusual and distinctive sculptures for both the garden and home.

Eye-catching and tactile, our sculptures have integrity and individuality. We feel that the combination of colour, texture and form produce unique, individual pieces and bold statements.

We are husband and wife team, Phil and Bridget Rogers and between us, have over thirty years of expertise in designing and working with steel and horticulture.

In 1997, we established Down To Earth Contemporary Metalwork, merging our skills to create exciting original, unique metalwork sculptures for the garden and home.

Phil the designer and maker brings a fresh perspective to the metalwork and this is reflected in the quality, attention to detail and individuality of the work. All the work is handcrafted at our workshop situated on the Shropshire/Clwyd border.

We design and make all our sculptures and have worked in collaboration with other local talented artists: Stained glass artist, Julie Wright. Glass artists, Ed and Margaret Burke. Glass designer/maker, Sara Wood. Warm glass artist Anne Collins.

We also specialise in handmade Bespoke Gates and Railings. At Down To Earth we are more than happy to work with customers on their own ideas and accept commissions. Some of our designs can be adapted into gates. The contemporary pieces of work can also inspire you to commission an individual piece to complement and harmonise with your own garden.
